I recently received a skein of Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock in the Exclusive Colorway “Cabbage Key” from A Good Yarn in Sarasota, FL. I eagerly jumped at the opportunity to test this yarn – I used Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock yarn for knitting socks many times in the past and I have a good deal of Shepherd Sock in my personal stash. The yarn is soft, one skein is enough for an average size pair of woman’s socks, the quality of Lorna’s Laces yarn is well established and the colorways are always wonderful. I opened the package from Stitchcraft Marketing and immediately fell in love with this vibrant colorway – a mixture of green, lime green, green-blue and black.
A Good Yarn’s website states that the inspiration for this exclusive colorway came from a the colorful black and green Cristata Nudibranch (a marine sea slug). Sarasota is close to Cabbage Key Island off the Florida Gulf Coast. Hence, a beautiful colorway is born!
Note: Results may vary. Gauge, Number of Stitches and Other Factors can affect the way yarn looks when it is knitted.
