Woodbury
With my son starting college “up north”, I wanted to knit a scarf for him that had some interest both visually and for me as a knitter. Since I couldn’t find what I was looking for, I designed this scarf which is fairly basic and simple, with some squishy and warm cables throughout.
Woodbury is a modern version of a classic cable scarf with textural interest on the front and the back. The front is full of staggered cables and ribbing. The back, while not reversible, has an attractive ribbed structure. The pattern is simple and easy to memorize. Length is easily modified
I used US size 7 needles and Brooklyn Tweed Shelter yarn (Worsted weight yarn
140 yds (128 m) / 50 grams) for the sample (shown in Nest).
You can find Woodbury on Ravelry. The pattern will be free through September 30, 2013. Just use the Coupon Code STAYWARM. Happy Knitting! Stay Warm!!
