This and That
It has been such a busy month around our house! First, the ballet company that my daughter is in performed Swan Lake. It was sooo beautiful. The girls were in the corps de ballet and there were professionals dancing the lead roles. It was stunning!
The first week of April was SpringBreak for my kids…so many people here head to the Florida beaches but we opted to drive up “North” to visit my family and sightsee in Philadelphia and Boston. Along the way, we stopped at various restaurants, our favorite probably being Mike’s City Diner in Boston. Of course, the kids had the chance to sample real Geno’s Philly CheeseSteaks in Philadelphia, and Pepe’s Pizza in New Haven!
This past week, my son went to his Junior Prom and we hosted the cast party for Swan Lake. Whew! Not much time for knitting lately but here’s a peek at what I’ve been working on:
Skinny Bugga in Blue Lobster via Cephalopod Yarns
I’ve started a shawl using Skinny Bugga . OMG, this is one of the nicest yarns I’ve ever used. I’m working on the pattern so hopefully completed pics will be posted shortly.
Over the weekend, I ran across this pretty yarn on Ravelry and knew immediately that I had to check it out! You can find String Theory Colorworks Yarn here. It looks like there are shop updates on Fridays but I ordered Hamiltonian as a Special Order. There are at least 100 special orders ahead of mine so I may be browsing the shop update on Fridays too!

I definitely will be knitting socks with this pretty yarn! Have any patterns that work well with self-striping yarn? Share here!
