On My Needles

As usual of late, I have a lot of projects on my needles.  I’ve been working on a pair of socks for my aunt with this beautiful Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks That Rock Yarn in Lighweight.  This 100% Superwash Merino yarn comes in a generous  4.5oz (127g)  and is approximately 360yds (329m).  The gauge is 8-10 stitches per inch (2.5 cm) on US size 1 (2.25mm) needles.  Super soft and squishy, I love to knit with this yarn.  Pictures (and, hopefully, a pattern) to share soon!

Also, on the needles, a stashbust project, which has been in my Ravelry queue forever….Susie’s Reading Mitts.  Another fast and easy knit, I’m using Rowan Felted Tweek in DK weight which is a nice, lightweight yarn…perfect for our hardly noticeable winter here in Atlanta  this year!  I’m almost done so pictures soon!

My daughter and I are almost done with our Special Olympic Scarves.  Now that I have finished a volunteer project at my daughter’s dance school (we had a fun gala and silent auction to support their next production), I’m looking forward to a few days of knitting and catching up around the house.  What’s on your needles?
