Olympic Knitting Inspirations

We’re snowed and iced in here in the ATL.  At our house, that means sledding and hot chocolate and, for me, knitting while we watch the Winter Olympics.  Such wonderful family time!  I love watching the figure skating (love the new team event!), hockey, snowboarding  and all the skiing events.  And, along with knitters around the world,  I have been paying attention to the all the lovely knitting views in Sochi.

First, the US Olympic Team.  The Opening and Closing Ceremony Cardigan designed by Ralph Lauren  has already sold out despite the “Ugly Christmas Sweater” reviews.  With a hipster, grandpa-style collar and button front, this sweater is All-American. And the hats! Gotta love the beanie and the ear flap hat!
