merry knitmas! – part 2
Still looking for a gift for your favorite knitter? Earlier in the week, I talked about my favorite “big box” online yarn stores – you can catch up on that post here! Today, I’m going to share a few of my favorite indie yarn dyers with y’all! These small online businesses dye yarn in small batches and create some of the most beautiful yarn that I’ve ever seen!
From top left and clockwise:
Gynx Yarns – shop updates are usually on Tuesdays at 7pm – follow GynxYarns on Instagram to find out more.
Knitty and Color – to find out updates follow knittyandcolor on Instagram.
On the Round – Click on New Yarn and Fiber to see what’s new. Follow ontheround on Instagram too for more updates.
Voolenvine Yarns – shop updates are usually on Fridays at 2pm EST. Find ot more – follow Voolenvine on Instagram.
All four of these yarn dyers sell a variety of yarn – including fingering/sock yarn, DK yarn and worsted weight yarn. My favorites are their sock yarns. If you check out my Instagram (iknit2purl2), you’ll see that I have a nice variety of yarn from all of these shops.
If you are looking at yarn in these shops for a holiday gift, be aware that occasionally some of these vendors have pre-orders which generally (in my experience) can take longer to process (2-3 weeks is a general estimate). So, try to purchase in-stock yarn for an upcoming gift.
FYI: On The Round and Voolenvine Yarns offer gift certificates. KnittyandColor and Gynx Yarns accept Etsy gift certificates.
Next time, I’ll share some of my favorite knitting supplies (knitting needles, project bags, stitchmarkers, etc.) and where to find them!
