Looped!

via Looped Yarn Works

We’re up in the  Washington, DC area for a few weeks and, today, I finally had the opportunity to take the Metro over to Dupont Circle and walk a few blocks to Looped Yarn Works.  Located at 1732 Connecticut Ave, NW, I’m already planning my next excursion over to visit, knit and (shhhh!) buy a little more yarn!  Everyone was so friendly and helpful and Looped has an amazing variety of yarn including some of my faves like Quince and Co, Malabrigo, Madeline Tosh and so many new to me brands that I can’t wait to go back and spend some more time there!!

Today, I came away with several skeins of Shepherd’s Wool (4oz, 250 yards per skein) in Shepherd Sage. I’m going to cast on another sweater, this time for my daughter.

I also found some Madeline Tosh Lace in Candlewick ((950 yards, superwash merino wool). I had no idea Madeline Tosh came in lace weight. I am so excited to start a shawl with this beautiful yarn!!!!
