Knitting? There’s an App for That!

Today’s Review – Knit Counter and Knit Counter Lite

Knit Counter App for iPhone by Cordless Dog

My go-to Knitting App, Knit Counter for iPhone by Cordless Dog  is my favorite way to keep track of knitting projects.  Available on iTunes for $3.99, this handy little app has counters (multiple per project are available) and you can enter information related to pattern, yarn and needles as well as notes that pertain to your project.   (Crocheters – you can use this app too!)  You can even  add a photo icon!  I find this app particularly helpful when I’m knitting a 2 part project such as socks or mittens since I can add specific information about how I knit the first piece in the note section. For example, I’m currently knitting Susie’s Reading Mitts and I noted what Row I started the Thumb Gusset and what Row I started the 2nd lace section.  Handy reference literally at my fingertips!  More than one project can be stored on Knit Counter so, if you’re like me and tend to have more than one project going on at a time, this is a perfect all-in-on-place tool to keep track of your projects.

Knit Counter Lite for iPhone also available from Cordless Dog

Also available for free, Knit Counter Lite for iPhone, which has all of the same features as Knit Counter but only tracks a single project at a time.  A great way to try out the app and see if it is right for you!

Note:  The preceding reviews are my own opinion based upon mobile device applications of my choice that I have bought or downloaded for free.
