Greetings from Asbury Park

I’m so excited to share my first pattern of 2016,  Asbury Park, which is now available on Ravelry!

Asbury Park is an asymmetrical, triangular-shaped shawl with a lace edge reminiscent of waves.  The shawl is worked flat with a lace edge on one side.  Since the lace edging is also worked in garter stitch, the shawl is reversible. The shawl pattern as written is designed for one skein of fingering weight yarn (approximately 410 yards). This shawl is perfect for that really special skein of yarn.  Asbury Park is a great project for beginners. The lace pattern is easy to memorize without any complicated knitting stitches. With the pattern starting at one end, the length can easily be modified to make the shawl longer or shorter.

I would like to thank On The Round Artisan Yarn & Fiber for providing the yarn to knit the sample shawl.  Rachel has  been so supportive of this project and I am very grateful.  The shawl shown above was knit with one skein of ontheround Signature Sock Yarn in Rainbow Tweed. I love this colorway! It is absolutely gorgeous!
