Duality – Free Hat Pattern

I’m so excited to share my new hat pattern, Duality, which is available as a FREE download on Ravelry!!! You can find it HERE!!  Duality is so named because the pattern reflects what both of my children like in a hat -wear it either slouchy or as a fitted beanie hat!

Duality is knit in the round from the bottom up.  The hat starts with a 2×2 rib and then continues with a broken rib design.  This pattern is perfect for beginners! The pattern is available in two sizes.  Duality can be worn as either a slouchy hat or as a beanie!

FINISHED DIMENSIONS
Medium – 15 inch wide circumference unstretched, 10 inches long
Large – 16 inch wide circumference unstretched, 10.5 inches long

Length can easily be modified.

NEEDLES
Medium – US Size 5 & 7 – 16 inch circular needles & US Size 7 DPNs
Large – US Size 6 & 8 – 16 inch circular needles & US Size 8 DPNs

YARN
Medium – approx. 160 yards worsted weight yarn
Large – approx. 180 yards worsted weight yarn

Add a Pom-Pom for a different look!   Make your own (I used a Clover Pom-Pom maker) or purchase one (I found this Spinrite Faux Fur pom-pom here) – either will give Duality a totally cool and up-to-date look!
