Avens – New Pattern!!!!

I am tremendously excited to share my new pattern, Avens, which is now available on Ravlery!!!

Avens is inspired by the traditional Icelandic sweater known as Lopapeysa. Avens is worked in the round from the bottom up with a two-color corrugated ribbing. The sweater is designed with a slightly fitted waistline.  The yoke is flattering to all body types and is worked in a multi-color design (easily adaptable to a single color if preferred).  There is a coordinating border above the corrugated ribbing.  The colorwork is inspired by the official flower of Iceland – The Mountain Aven.

FINISHED DIMENSIONS
32” (35½”, 39”, 42½”, 46¼”, 49¾”, 53¼”, 56¾”)
Intended Ease +2 inches
Sweater is shown in size 35½” with approx. 2 inches of positive ease.

GAUGE
18 stitches and 24 rows equals 4 inches in stockinette stitch with Size A needles after blocking.
18 inches and 24 rows equals 4 inches in corrugated ribbing and colorwork pattern for Yoke and Border Chart worked in Size B needles after blocking.
