2012 special olympic scarves

My daughter and I are about to start our third annual scarf knitting for the Special Olympics!  This year, we are sending our scarves to Louisiana. I imagine we will both be knitting our way through the upcoming Super Bowl Game tonite!  Here’s our progress so far:

With my daughter’s busy schedule, we always seem to pick a State that has a late due date.  It’s not too late for you to knit up a quick scarf for this wonderful project.  Just pick up a couple of skeins of Red Heart Yarn in Super Saver 387 Soft Navy, Super Saver 319 Cherry Red, Red Heart Soft 4604 Navy and Red Heart Soft 9925 Really Red  (official colors of 2012).  Just use one red and one blue in your scarf and pick a state to send it too. All of this is detailed on the Project Guidelines Page.   The  Official Special O lympic Scarves website even has some links  to patterns.  So grab your needles and go!
