For a while now, I’ve wanted to become proficient at Continental Knitting (yarn in your left hand) like all the big girls do! My grandmother taught me to knit with the English Method (yarn in your right hand) and, while I knit fairly quickly, there are just too many things that I want to knit so I MUST KNIT FASTER!!!!
I think the most difficult part of Continental Knitting is finding a way to hold the yarn on your left hand that provides a nice tension so you are knitting using the correct gauge. A few attempts resulted in something that I’m comfortable with and now I’m trying to get faster.
